How Mealyno builds its plans, and what it does not do
This page states who is behind Mealyno, how the meal plans and calculators are produced, which published sources the numbers rest on, and where the limits are. Every claim on the site can be traced back to a step below.
Updated September 2026 · How Mealyno builds its plans
Who makes Mealyno
Mealyno is made by Roman Leshchuh, its founder. He builds the product and the plan generator, and he is the person accountable for what is published on this site.
This site does not claim nutrition or medical credentials for him or for anyone else on the team. Plans and articles are generated and written from published formulas and sources, listed below, and are labelled as such on every page.
How the free plans are generated
The free plan library has 78 plans in each language: 12 calorie levels from 1,200 to 3,000 kcal across up to 7 diet types. Each plan covers seven days.
Plans are produced offline. An AI model (Google Gemini) drafts a plan from a fixed prompt, a script checks it against the rules in the next section, and only plans that pass are saved as static data. Nothing is generated when you open a page, and no page calls an AI service while it loads.
The Ukrainian plans are produced from the English plans and checked so that both languages carry the same numbers.
What validated means: the numeric gate
A plan is rejected and regenerated, up to three attempts, unless it passes every check below. A plan that never passes is dropped from the library instead of being published.
| Check | Rule |
|---|---|
| Daily calories | The meals of each day add up to within 50 kcal of the plan target |
| Macro arithmetic | Protein, carbs and fat grams (4, 4 and 9 kcal per gram) match the day's stated calories within 3% |
| Protein floor | High-protein plans reach at least 1.6 g per kg at a reference body weight for that calorie level |
| Plausible items | Every meal has a portion size and no single meal exceeds 1,200 kcal |
| Structure | Every day has at least three meals, and no meal name repeats more than twice in a week |
| Diet fit | Keto plans average no more than 50 g of carbs a day, and low-carb plans no more than 130 g |
| Language | The text is in the target language |
Passing the gate means the arithmetic is consistent. It does not mean a doctor or a dietitian has looked at the plan. None has.
Where the numbers come from
Calorie targets use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for resting energy use, multiplied by an activity factor. It is a published, widely used formula. It estimates a group average and does not measure you.
Protein guidance on the calculators and protein pages is shown as ranges with the source next to them. Food values on the protein pages come from the USDA FoodData Central database, which is in the public domain. Where the app's default sits above a published range, the page says so.

What is not done
- Plans and articles here are not reviewed by a doctor or a registered dietitian.
- Mealyno does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and it does not give advice about medication.
- Content is written for healthy adults. It does not target any disease or condition.
- Meal values are model estimates and are not laboratory measurements. Check labels if you manage an allergy.
- If you take medication, are pregnant, or manage a health condition, ask your doctor or a registered dietitian what is right for you.
How pages are dated and updated
Every plan, article and tool shows the date its content last changed, and the date in the page data is the same one. It moves only when the content moves, never on a deploy.
Plans are regenerated when they fail the checks above or when a family of pages is deliberately revised. There is no scheduled rewrite of the whole library, because that would change every page without a reason.
Corrections
If a number looks wrong, or a claim is not supported by the source it names, write to support@mealyno.com with the page address. Factual corrections are made and the page date is updated.
